Cady Brimacombe

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), Certified Grief Informed Professional

Cady approaches therapy as a cyclical process—one that involves healing, integration, and learning to navigate life’s waves with more resilience and balance. Her philosophy centres on the belief that while healing can be difficult, it can also be deeply transformative. It’s not about “getting over” grief or loss, but about learning how to honour your experience.

Her work integrates the latest research in neuroplasticity, somatic techniques, mindfulness, skill-based learning, and attachment dynamics. She believes in the power of the body-mind connection, and she engages creatively with clients to explore personalized tools that fit their unique needs. Cady sees individual clients in Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Nunavut, Yukon, and the Northwest Territories.

  • Cady has a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Victoria. She is also a Certified Grief Informed Professional.

  • Being a human is messy. It can feel uncomfortable and uncertain. Grief is a normal human experience, but it can feel incredibly disorienting. Grief can occur after the death of a loved one, and also with the end of a relationship, the end of a job, the death of a pet, the loss of future hopes and dreams, loss of a pregnancy, loss of structure during a life transition, the slow decline of a loved one, loss of trust in individuals or institutions, ecological collapse, and more.

Loss can be isolating. Loss can change our social groups. Loss can come and go in waves so strong that it feels like the current will take us under. Loss can make us feel stuck, but it doesn’t have to be this way. Loss can also be beautiful. Cady can help you find the sweet in the bitter and move from feeling stuck to re-engaging with life.
